Children’s Class
Penrith Ballroom Dance is a Registered Active and Creative Kids Provider.
Penrith Ballroom Dance offers a fantastic and enjoyable experience for children with their weekly specially designed children’s classes where they are taught correct technique and movement.
Children who ballroom dance learn the qualities of respect, teamwork, self-confidence and a sense of joy and accomplishment.
These fun-filled classes are for children aged from 5 years up to and including Year 12 aged students. The classes cover the three styles of Ballroom Dancing – Modern Standard, Latin American and New Vogue Sequence Dances.
The children’s classes are held on a Monday afternoon from 4.30 – 5.15pm and run in the school term.
The cost for these classes is $150.00 per child per term. Siblings attract a 5% discount.
General
Dress requirements for all participants of our children’s classes are as follows:
- proper ballroom dance shoes (please speak to Therese, our Principal, about where to purchase these)
- studio polo shirt
- girls to wear a knee-length flared black skirt
- girls may wear panty hose or short white socks
- boys to wear black trousers
- boys to wear black socks
- no chunky or dangly earrings, bracelets or chains to be worn
- hair to be off the face, with shoulder length or longer hair to be tied back
Private lessons can be arranged for anyone interested in:
Dancesport amateur or recreational competition dancing.
