Private Lessons

Private lessons are one-on-one lessons with the teacher rather than a group class and are held at a mutually convenient time Monday through Thursday afternoon / evenings and Saturday mornings.
You can choose to cover all styles of ballroom dancing or you can concentrate on one area – the choice is yours.
Unlike a group class, a private lesson moves at your pace and you have the undivided attention of the teacher.
You can learn to dance for solely social purposes or if you want more of a challenge, through your private lessons you can take your medals, prepare for competition or performance dancing.
What to wear and bring to your lesson?
- Clothing – Comfortable smart casual clothing
- Footwear – proper ballroom dance shoes with indoor suede soles are required for all students in all lessons. We ask that you have your shoes by your 4th week with us. Beginners, until you have your ballroom shoes, please wear firm fitting, smooth, non-rubber soled business shoes, preferably court shoes for the ladies, no thongs, slip-ons, slides or scuff styles. Joggers, fine stiletto heels, rubber-soled and work boots are equally unsuitable. Your teacher will discuss where to purchase your ballroom shoes.
- You might like to bring a water bottle and hand towel along. We do have these items for sale, along with Chill Towels.
Cost and Conditions
1/2 hour lesson: $48.00 per 1/2 hour for up to 2 people, plus $9.00 per person per 1/2 hour for any other participants up to a maxium of 6 people.
1 hour lesson: $91.00 per hour for up to 2 people, plus $18.00 per person per hour for any other participants.
One (1) lesson paid in advance to reconfirm the following booking.
24 hours notice of inability to attend or payment for that timeslot is forfieted.
Make Bookings
Dates and times for Private lessons are discussed over the phone, then you will be given 24 hours to place your on-line order, pay for the first 2 lessons and complete the Registration Form – click the Start Dancing button. You will receive a copy of your order. We will receive your order, payment and Registration Form, upon receipt of these 3 items, a formal confirmation of your bookings will be sent via email.
