Conditions for entry to studio concerning COVID, Colds and Flu 

Penrith Ballroom Dance is a COVID Safe Business

Please be assured that Penrith Ballroom Dance is a COVID Safe business.  We have antibacterial handwash and paper towels in the bathrooms and hand sanitizer available for your use.  COVID safe cleaning is carried out regularly.  

Everyone who walks in the door is required to use the hand sanitizer upon entry.  Thank you.   

As Ballroom Dancing is an “up-close and personal” form of sport, please do not attend the studio if you have any flu-like symptoms.  In an effort to keep both staff and students well, anyone who presents at the studio with ANY flu-like symptoms will be turned away.

Covid is still very much with us and colds and flu are ever present, we thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

 

Privacy

 

We recognise that your privacy is very important to you and that you have a right to control your personal information.  We know that providing personal information is an act of trust and we take that seriously.

We will not collect or monitor any person information about you without your consent.  Only information you provide us with directly will be collected, such as identifying yourself when requesting information to be sent to you.

The only personal information we collet is what you tell us about yourself.  For example, when you fill out an enquiry form, or registration/enrolment form, we collect the details you enter to enable us to post o email information to you.

Your personal details, for example telephone number and email address will not be passed on to any individual or company without your prior consent.

 

What to wear and bring to your lessons

  • Clothing – Comfortable smart casual clothing
  • Footwear – proper ballroom dance shoes with indoor suede soles are required for all students in all classes. We ask that you have your shoes by your 4th week with us. Beginners, until you have your ballroom shoes, please wear firm fitting, smooth, non-rubber soled, business shoes, preferably court shoes for the ladies, no thongs, slip-ons, slides or scuff styles. Joggers, fine stiletto heels, rubber soles and work boots are equally unsuitable. Your teacher will discuss where to purchase your ballroom shoes.
  • You might like to bring a water bottle and hand towel along.  We do have these items for sale, along with Chill Towels.

Private Lessons

 

Private lessons may be half (½) an hour duration or any multiple of half (½) hours.

All bookings are by appointment at a mutually convenient time and booked over the phone 0402 069 576.  Booked private lessons will be confirmed in writing by email.

Private lessons are to be paid at least one lesson in advance, your first payment should cover two (2) lessons.

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice of inability to attend a booked lesson or request for re-scheduling a booked lesson is required, or the charge for that timeslot stands.

Private lessons are available to all ages.  Students under 18 years must have parent/guardian consent to enrol or sign on their behalf. 

Private lessons may be undertaken for all types or reasons, for example, but not limited to – social, competition, bridal, medal or special occasion dancing.

The price of a private lesson covers one (1) or two (2) participants.  Group private lessons and pricing are available on request.

 

Adult Group Classes

 

Classes are for adults 18 years and over.

Please note no refunds for missed classes.  Make-up classes may not always be available.

Regular adult classes are held in eight (8) week blocks.  Enrolments are open until Week 2 of every course (full price applies).  Pending availability, students can join until this time.  Courses run regularly throughout the year at the same days/times and enrolments are open for the next block straight away.  We encourage students to sign-up early to avoid disappointment.

Classes are not held on Public Holidays.

In the event Penrith Ballroom Dance cancels a class for any reason, the Studio, in its sole discretion, will decide whether it is appropriate to offer a make-up class or provide a refund.

 

Children’s Classes

 

Children’s classes are held on Monday afternoons during school terms, with the dates based on the NSW Public School terms.

All participants in these classes are required to wear a uniform:

  • studio polo shirt
  • proper ballroom dance shoes
  • girls to wear a knee-length flared black skirt
  • boys to wear black trousers
  • no chunky or dangly earrings, bracelets or chains to be worn
  • hair to be off the face and neatly groomed
  • shoulder length or longer hair must be tied back

Following initial enrollment, fees will be invoiced and are due in full at the beginning of each term.

If you are having difficulty paying your account, or you have any questions relating to your child’s participation or progress, or any other queries, please contact our office.  Discussing or arranging things during lessons is not appropriate as it encroaches on the children’s valuable class time.

As overheads remain the same regardless of attendance, fees are non-refundable for classes missed, or if your child does not complete the whole term. 

 

Medal Tests (Examinations)

 

Fees for medal tests must be finalised a minimum of seven (7) days prior to test date.

Tickets for guests at medal tests must be finalised seven (7) days prior to test date.  Tickets are NOT available at the door.

 

Gift Certificates

 

Gift Certificates are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash.

Gift Certificates are to be presented at first lesson or the appropriate fee to be paid.

 

Price

 

All prices of products and other charges shown are in Australian dollars.

Prices are current at time of display but are subject to change.

All shipping prices are estimated.  If you haver a large order, we may contact you to revise the estimate.

Merchant Service fees may be charged for any transaction.

 

Payment

 

All payments for lessons must be received in full prior to the lesson.

All payments for merchandise ordered must be received in full prior to delivery.

If your payment is not received or declined by your bank or credit card issuer, we cannot hold product against your order.

When making a purchase you are confirming that all details you have provided are accurate and that you have authorisation to use the credit or debit card to make the purchase.

In the event that we cancel your order for any reason, including but not limited to, the unavailability of any product, an error in the price or product description or an error in your order, a full refund of any payment will be provided via direct deposit into your bank account. 

 

Shipping – Supply of Product

 

All ordered products may be collected at our studio.

Should you choose not to collect products at our studio, delivery will be through Australia Post at an additional cost.

We retain ownership of goods until payment is received in full.  Risk in goods, such as loss or damage, passes to you upon delivery.

We will endeavour to meet stated timeframes for despatch and delivery, however many factors can affect these timeframes and we cannot guarantee that they will always be met.

 

Returns / Exchanges

 

No returns or refunds are given on product change of mind purchases.

An exchange of the item will be accepted on products of equal or greater value (with the difference to be paid by the purchaser) if the product purchased is in its original packaging and in re-sellable condition.

Gift Certificates are non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash.

 

Website Secruity

 

When purchasing from www.penrithballroomdance.com.au your financial details are passed through a secure server using an encrypted Stripe gateway.

www.penrithballroomdance.com.au does not hold or store any Credit Card details.
